Senior Associate at an Insurance Defense Firm

Problem

A Partner at a successful midsize insurance defense firm approached us about finding a Senior Associate to take over one of his two books of business that fit within their tight budget. The attorney had to have very strong trial experience, the ability to interface with clients and business development skills.


Objectives

JSL Legal Search Group was tasked with finding a candidate with the necessary experience and abilities who would take a pay cut in the near-term, recognizing the prospect of a long-term relationship.


Solution

We identified a list of candidates via our search plan and reached out to them all. From there, we carefully vetted the candidate list and worked hand-in-glove with the Partner to ascertain the personal fit and qualities for the “right” candidate.


Outcome

We were able to place a Senior Associate at the firm within two months who met all of the firm’s requirements. The attorney is currently on a partnership track and has had great success at the firm.
